Ellie

Director and Lead Osteopath

I’m Ellie, a passionate osteopath who graduated with a masters degree from Swansea University with a specialisation in spinal health, and also director of Optimise Spinal Therapy. With a deep-rooted passion for spinal health and a commitment to providing top-notch care, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals like you achieve optimal spinal well-being.

My patient-centered approach ensures that each individual receives personalised care, whether they’re seeking relief from back pain, recovering from an injury, or focusing on preventive measures. My mission is to empower you to lead a healthier, pain-free life by optimising your spine’s health.

My journey started when I was young. My mother fell and fractured the base of her spine after a fall down stairs. She was told that she would have great difficulty in living a normal life, and may even never walk again. This event severely affected our family, as our once active mother was now bed bound. She could no longer sit and play barbies with me, or stand and bake cakes together.

Luckily, she took a proactive approach. She found her osteopath, who performed miracles and allowed my mother to live a normal life by reducing her pain and increasing the function of her body. She brought back my mother who was able to take us back to the park again! For this, our family was eternally grateful.

Seeing how this treatment reduced my mothers pain, but more importantly seeing how this changed my family’s life by having our mother back made it clear to me that I wanted to do the same for other families in the future.

Since beginning my studies, I have worked within both NHS and private practice, which has allowed me to learn about and work with a varied amount of cases. However, over these years I have specialised in spinal conditions, and have a particular interest in the condition of fibromyalgia.

Thank you for considering us for your spinal care needs, and I look forward to helping you achieve your health goals.

Chloe

Clinical Assistant

Hi, I’m Chloe and I am one of the Clinical Assistants here at Optimise Spinal Therapy. I started working here not long after the clinic first opened and have loved being here ever since.

When I started working at Optimise, I was studying for an undergraduate degree in Chemistry whilst working part-time in the clinic. However, after a change of heart and with the support of Ellie and the team, I decided to pursue a career in Osteopathy. I’m now studying for a degree in Osteopathy at the University of Derby and will continue to work whilst doing my studies.

I’m excited to continue my journey at Optimise working alongside Ellie and Amy for the foreseeable future.

Maddy

Sports Massage Therapist

Hi, I’m Maddy and I’m one of the Sports Massage Therapists here at Optimise Spinal Therapy.

I started out as a professional dancer, a career that enabled me to perform all over the world and one that I’m very grateful for.

Upon retiring from a career in dance, I was keen to put that experience to use and chose to retrain as a sports therapist – injury prevention & rehabilitation are part & parcel of a performer’s life.

I wanted to help people rehabilitate and recover from injuries, aches and pains. I believe a hands-on approach to health and well-being can help make the world of difference. Sometimes it’s something as simple as a good massage to alleviate a knot after a long week at work or a particularly strenuous training programme. Other times it might be more specialised, but I’ll be here to assist you either way!

Beth

Senior Sports Massage Therapist

Hi, I’m Beth and I’m the Senior Massage Therapist here at Optimise Spinal Therapy. I graduated from The University of South Wales, where I completed my Bachelors degree in Sports and Science. I wanted to continue my development into the sports massage industry, so went on to gain a Level 3 Sports Massage Award and I am now progressing to achieve my Level 4.

I love my job as it allows me to help our patients experience as little pain as possible and also ease the stresses of everyday life. I focus on areas that have been assessed by either myself or by one of our Osteopaths.

I hope to keep learning and developing my skills as this allows me to introduce new methods into my treatments and to continue to provide optimal care.
